EXERGY ANALYSIS OF NITRIC ACID, ETHYLENE OXIDE/ETHYLENE GLYCOL PROCESSES AND METHANOL REACTOR
In this work, exergy analysis is carried out for nitric acid production and ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol production. Exergoeconomic evaluation of EO/EG based on catalyst selectivity is find out. A new parameter is proposed to decide end run catalyst selectivity based on exergy destruction in EO reactor. Efficient thermally coupled rector based on exergy analysis is suggested for methanol production.
